14 month old Toddler Vomiting

by Amber
(Russellville, KY USA)

It started when my son was 6 months old with high fevers and frequent ear infections. He has stayed congested ever since that time frame. He has been vomiting at least 4 times a week with them growing more frequently together in the last couple of weeks. In the last four months we have visited the pediatrician at least if not twice a week with some sort of sickness. They have done blood test but always everything is normal. He maintains a fever most days that the vomiting is occurring. He coughs with his congesting but never has vomited from coughing. He tends to vomit at different times and outta the blue? Any ideas on what could be causing this? I am at my wits on trying to find an answer to help my baby.

Toddler Vomiting
by: Ingrid fromToddlers Are Fun

Hello Amber!

I am very sorry to hear about your little guy's illnesses...:O( It can be frustrating when you do not have any answers. I would suggest that you ask your pediatrician to refer you to a Pediatric Gastroenterologist. Your son needs to be seen by a specialist. There is such a thing called GERD and Acid Reflux in Infants and Children. Some of the symptoms are frequent vomiting and coughing.

Your son needs to have more extensive testing to see what is really going on. If your pediatrician does not refer you then look on the internet for a specialist in your area and make the appointment yourself. I wish you both well and please keep me updated as to how he is doing.

Blessings to you!
Ingrid
